The Universal Laws (Part 4)

The last in our universal laws series begins with the 10th law...

10. Law of Polarity:

The law of polarity states that everything is on a continuum and has an opposite. We can suppress and transform undesirable thoughts by concentrating on the opposite pole. It is the law of mental vibrations.

Here is a wonderful example: "If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced."

- Vincent Van Gogh

11. The Law of Rhythm:

This law states that everything moves and vibrates to certain rhythms. These rhythms establish seasons, cycles, stages of developments and patterns. Each cycle reflects the regularity of God's universe. Masters know how to rise above negative parts of a cycle by never getting to excited or allowing negative things to penetrate their consciousness.

Balance is the key when understanding the message in this law. When we are on a "high" one is also faced with the opposite a "low", the key is to never allow yourself to get swept up into the "high" or the "low", instead we should aim to be in balance and calm. Use your strength of will to center yourself.

A great way to center yourself would be through meditation, here is a quick meditation to try.

Sit with you eyes closed and become aware of your breath. Now imagine that your heart is filled with lilac light. The color of balancing our emotions. This lilac light expands outside of your heart and into the room you are sitting in, if there is someone that you have had a disagreement or misunderstanding with then imagine them in the same lilac light. Now imagine it expand to the city your'e in, then the country and finally to the whole world. Then open your eyes.

12. The Law of Gender:

This law states that everything has a masculine (Yang/ Shiva) and a feminine (Yin/ Shakti) principle. This is the basis for all creation. The spiritual journey of every person is to balance the masculine and feminine energies within each person so that they can become a Master and a co- creator with God. In this androgynous state we are in alignment with our highest selfs.

Most people, on some level try to create this balance in their lives. We might try to balance a right brained job with left brained creativity or if we are left brained then we might try and balance that with right brained activity.

This quote from Hafiz to me epitomizes this balance

"From looking at you I became what I am"
