Essential oils are offerings of magic and healing from the Earth.

Updated: Apr 1

Essential oils are offerings of magic and healing from the Earth. They are extracted from flowers, trees, and plants using various methods. We use them in our soaps, shampoos, body lotions and diffusers.

At 7 Rays Holistic Center, Essential Oils are used in Chakra Sprays and Color Therapy.

What is inside the chakra sprays?

Chakra sprays are custom blended especially for you using spring water, crystals from South Africa, essential oils sourced from both the US and South Africa as well as color. They are created using ancient Sanskrit mantras. They are left to charge on a crystal grid for 3 days before being sent out to people.

They can be grounding for our bodies, open our hearts, and clear our minds.

How to use the chakra sprays:

Shake and spray over the top of your head and breathe in the color, crystal, and mantra frequencies. Shake each time and use it as many times throughout the day as you like.

Why use Chakra sprays?

The sprays help to balance the chakra system and our bodies very quickly. They can be used for multiple purposes, such as anxiety, trouble sleeping, feeling ungrounded, being unable to speak up about something, processing emotions, healing our bodies, and relaxing or calming our bodies, minds, and hearts.

What do they do?

They help balance the energy within our bodies. They align the chakras or energy centers and help calm and relax the body so that it can be in alignment.

There are 17 Chakra sprays, each representing an archangel or master. Each Chakra spray has a conscious, unconscious, and higher purpose meaning.

Our Chakra Sprays blend various essential oils to create uplifting healing essences.

How to use essential oils and the benefits of some of the most easily found oils.

Lavender is used to calm our bodies and minds, help with insomnia, lower blood pressure, and enhance meditation practice.

Rosemary can be used for aches and pains, hair loss, and easing pain caused by arthritis.

Rose uplifts our moods and helps ease depression. It is gentle enough to use for sensitive skin and eczema.

Lemon can be used to clear acne, as a mood enhancer, and to heal bruises.

Lemongrass can be used to treat colds and flu. It can also be used if you feel tired to give your body a boost of energy.

Peppermint uplifts our senses and can be used to heal headaches or migraines. It is great for digestive disorders as it eases and relaxes the digestive system.

Frankincense is great for asthma and rheumatism, scars, and healing eczema.

Patchouli is great for muscular aches and pains. It can also be used for cellulite, dandruff, and fungal infections.

Sandalwood- can be used to ease cramping from menstrual pain and strengthen our immune system. It can be used to alleviate stress and is very grounding to use when meditating.

Jasmine- can be used for colds and cases of flu. It eases depression and helps balance hormones.

Aromatherapy has been used since the beginning of time to help heal our bodies and uplift our moods.

My favorite recipe for uplifting my mood, especially if I have had a long day or I am feeling overwhelmed or sad, is this blend. I use a shell I found on the beach to blend my oils since it incorporates the shell's energy. You can blend it in a bowl if you don't have a shell to use.

It would work best to have a diffuser; otherwise, place a large pot of boiling water on the stove.

Uplifting Oil Blend

15drops Rose Geranium or Geranium

10drops Tangerine/Clementine/ Naartjie (South African tangerine, which has the best fragrance)

6drops Lemongrass

3drops Peppermint or Spearmint

Grounding Blend

10drops Cinnamon Leaf

5drops Lavender

5drops Peppermint

2drops Vanilla

Healing Blend/ Bug Repellant

This one is a natural insect repellant and helps our bodies heal. I recently made this blend for my son, who volunteered in Brazil for a few months. He says it worked well as a repellant for mosquitos. This is a great travel size.

50ml Base oil (almond/jojoba/grape seed oil/olive/coconut)

10drops Tea Tree

8drops Lavender

6drops Citronella

4drops Lemon Verbena

2drops Peppermint

You can also mix all the oils in water in a spray bottle, leaving out the base oil, and keep it in your backpack or purse to use when out and about. Shake vigorously before spraying.

Lavender Pillow

Lavender is a great sleep aid, so I make small lavender pillows to help calm my nervous system and help me sleep.

You will need an old T-shirt, cloth, or pillowcase cut into 2- 7 inches long and 4-inch wide rectangles.

Place dried lavender stalks and flowers inside the rectangle. Add cotton wool or other stuffing to the pillow, and sew it closed.

Place it near your head when sleeping, and the lavender scent will relax your body for sleep.
